What is a Hotspot / Hot
Spot?
A Hotspot is a public
wireless LAN (Local Area Network) access point that allows the user to access
the internet with a notebook computer from a variety of public locations,
including coffee shops and airport lounges.
There are currently
thousands of hotspots worldwide and new access points are being added daily.

Why do I need a Hotspot?
If you are traveling on the road and want to be able to connect to the internet,
you can do so through a wireless hotspot. |
How to Connect to a
HotspotConnecting to a
hotspot is easy. Just
make sure your computer has built in wireless and working before you leave on
your trip. When hot spots were originally introduced everyone charge for the
service, but now it is free almost anywhere you go.
Hotspot Wireless Security
As with any wireless
connection
wireless security is important. Typically hotspots are unencrypted to make
connecting easier but sometimes the business owner will require a special
wireless key code to unlock the wireless. just ask a staff member to assist you
if you cannot connect.
