How to Troubleshoot Computer Hardware
Problems
Computers are great....until something goes wrong. Getting things back on
track when your system is malfunctioning can be a mental challenge and make you
want to throw it out the window. More times than not it is something simple, but
other times it could be a sign of something more serious.
Troubleshooting computer hardware
requires some technical knowledge but more importantly, logic. When
troubleshooting a computer hardware issue you must rule out the variables one at
a time, to isolate the issue. Once you have isolated the problem, you can apply
the solution.
Start with simple logic. What changed from
the time when your computer worked, to the point when it stopped working. Did
you install new software, a new printer or perform windows updates? There was a
point in time when it was working before. Pinning down the time frame and
sequence of events leading up to the failure, gets you closer to a solution.
If you can identify something that you added
that caused the issue, you can uninstall back to the point where things are
stable again. Also note there there is a big difference between computer
hardware issues and internet or software issues. A computer that is experiencing
slow internet problems is not necessarily a hardware problem. This is most
likely an internet issue.
The same thing with software. 9 times out of
10 when a computer fails, it is because of software not hardware so ruling out
all software related variables first will save you a lot of time. Software
related issues could be a program, Windows updates, your anti virus program a
virus or spyware infections reeking havoc on your computer systems.
PC Repair is not cheap so it is always best
to try to troubleshoot the problem and fix it yourself if you can. Applying the
logical suggestions above as well as other resources on this website will help
you fix your pc
