checklist
Ok, you know how the
web design works, you understand the process of starting a website, you have your domain and you
know the overall steps of how to start a website. Below is a checklist
of items you need to get together whether you are designing your own
website or having a web designer do it for you. Either way this
information will need to be compiled at this point.
These are the basics things that you will
need to gather to create your website:
- Company Profile
- Company Logo(s)
- Staff Bios and Pics if you like
- Full Contact details
- Product and/or service details
- Any other content you would like on your
site
- Your new email addresses and passwords (see
The First Steps)
To give you an idea, typical pages that are
created on a site could include but not limited to:
- Introduction
(A simple description of who you are and what you do for the front page.
Usually one or 2 paragraphs. You can provide detail on the About Us page)
- About Us (A detailed description of
your company and what you do)
- Your Products and Services (include
prices if you like)
- Contact Us
- Map & Directions (How to find you
from anywhere)
